MagnetStreet

Styczynski Walker & Associates designed this prairie-style office building in Wheaton for MagnetStreet, Master marketing International, Inc. This building was built to serve as the corporate offices for MagnetStreet, which designs and produces a wide variety of marketing materials printed on thin magnetic sheets. While faced with very tight site constraints, SWA was able to "break out of the box", by embellishing the exterior with a combination of brick and Renaissance stone accents, including horizontal banding, window lintels, and a stone water course. To address the adjoining busy street, the front corner on the second floor is carved away, forming a curved curtain wall of glass in the upstairs conference room. The prairie-style window muntin patterns are the final touch to pull together the exterior of the building into an elegant package that reflects the style of other shops and commercial buildings in the area.
