The Charity House was the result of a builder's desire to give back to his
community. Styczynski Walker & Associates won the competition sponsored by
the Custom Council of the HBAGC, to design the house. The house was then
sold, with the profits going to various children's charities.
The concept of the house was to incorporate as many cutting edge features as
possible into a cohesive whole. The rear of the house overlooks a gorgeous
golf course, and the expanse of windows in the great room capitalize on the
view. A circular screened porch is tucked into the rear of the house,
and the study was placed a half level above the main living space to take
advantage of these views as well.
Stone and synthetic stucco create a charming exterior with accents in the
form of curved walls and archtop windows.
