This house, which began as a mundane two-story house, has been transformed into a beautifully detailed
luxury home, with rustic appeal. Apart from adding a master bedroom suite and great room onto one end of
the house, the interior of the existing structure was partially gutted to allow for a new kitchen with a
vaulted ceiling. The most dramatic change, however, occurs on the exterior. Here a non-descript cedar
siding and brick exterior has been replaced with stone and cedar shake, with touches of heavy timber at
the front entry and gable ends and large expanses of glass in the foyer, great room and master bedroom.
When complete, this addition will provide the feel of a Colorado mountain retreat in a wooded suburban setting.
